जो व्यक्ति नित्य नियम से हनुमान जी का नाम लेते हैं, उन्हें इष्ट की प्राप्ति होती है. प्रात: काल सो कर उठते ही बारह नामों को 11 बार लेनेवाला व्यक्ति दीर्घायु होता है. दोपहर में हनुमान जी का नाम लेनेवाला व्यक्ति धनवान होता है. दोपहर संध्या के समय नाम लेनेवाला व्यक्ति पारिवारिक सुखों से तृप्त होता है.
जो भक्त हनुमान जी की विधि विधान से पूजा करते हैं तो हनुमान जी उनके सारे कष्ट हर लेते हैं. मान्यता के अनुसार बजरंग बली के 12 नामों का जाप करने से ना सिर्फ भक्त की उम्र बढ़ती है बल्कि उन्हें संसार के सारे सुख प्राप्त होते हैं.
हनुमान सहस्रनाम क्या है? श्री हनुमान सहस्रनाम भगवान हनुमान की स्तुति करने वाले एक भजन के रूप में भगवान हनुमान के हजार नामों का संकलन है। श्री हनुमान सहस्रनाम या भगवान हनुमान के हजार नाम भगवान हनुमान के एक हजार गुणों का वर्णन करते हैं।
आनंद रामायण में इनके विशेष बारह नाम बताए गए हैं- हनुमान, अंजनीसुत, वायुपुत्र, महाबल, रामेष्ट, फाल्गुनसखा, पिंगाक्ष, अमितविक्रम, उदधिक्रमण, सीतोशोकविनाशन, लक्ष्मणप्राणदाता, दशग्रीवदर्पहा. हर नाम की अलग अलग महिमा है और हर नाम अलग अलग तरीके से प्रयोग किया जाता है.
