खाटू श्याम बाबा कलयुग में इच्छा पूर्ति, मनोकानए को जल्दी करते है और कर्ज से छूटकर दिलाते है अपने भक्तो को खाटू श्याम बाबा (बर्बरीक) को प्रसन्न करने के लिए सबसे प्रसिद्ध और सिद्ध मंत्र "ॐ श्री श्याम देवाय नमः" है। सुबह स्नान के बाद सच्चे मन से इस मंत्र का 108 बार जाप करने से आर्थिक तंगी, मानसिक कष्ट और सभी प्रकार के दुख दूर होते हैं। इसके अलावा अन्य प्रभावशाली मंत्र भी हैं।
खाटू श्याम से मन्नत मांगने के लिए, सच्चे मन से एक कागज़ पर अपनी इच्छा लिखें, उसे लाल या पीले धागे से सूखे नारियल और कलवे के साथ बाँधकर, बाबा के चरणों में अर्पित करें (मंदिर में या घर पर भी कर सकते हैं) या पत्र-बॉक्स में डालें, और साथ में "ॐ श्री श्याम देवाय नमः" मंत्र का जाप करें, और मन्नत पूरी होने पर कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करें और जल में प्रवाहित करें
