माँ दुर्गा हिंदू धर्म में सर्वोच्च शक्ति (आदि-शक्ति) के रूप में पूजी जाने वाली प्रमुख देवी हैं, जो महिषासुर जैसे राक्षसों का वध करके ब्रह्मांड की रक्षा करती हैं। वे शिव की पत्नी और शक्ति का रूप हैं, जिन्हें नवरात्रि में नौ अलग-अलग रूपों (शैलपुत्री से सिद्धिदात्री) में पूजा जाता है। वे शेर पर सवार रहती हैं और साहस, शक्ति व करुणा की प्रतीक हैं। "ॐ ऐं ह्रीं क्लीं चामुण्डायै विच्चे" माँ दुर्गा का मुख्य मंत्र है।

ब्रह्मचारिणी - तपस्या करने वाली
चंद्रघंटा - घंटे के आकार का चंद्रमा धारण करने वाली
कूष्माण्डा - ब्रह्मांड को उत्पन्न करने वाली
स्कंदमाता - कार्तिकेय की माता
कात्यायनी - कात्यायन ऋषि के घर जन्मी
कालरात्रि - अंधकार का नाश करने वाली (भयानक रूप)
महागौरी - शांत और गोरा स्वरूप
सिद्धिदात्री - सिद्धियां प्रदान करने वाली
Mother Durga is the primary goddess in Hinduism, worshipped as the supreme power (Adi-Shakti), who protects the universe by slaying demons like Mahishasura.
