It also serves to prevent them from falling into bad company, developing negative habits, being swayed by the negative influences of others, or deviating onto a wrongful path. Parents may chant this mantra 108 times, both in the morning and in the evening, to pray for their child's protection. Furthermore, the chanting of the *Gayatri Mantra* and various *Vishnu Mantras* is also believed to bestow longevity and a healthy, disease-free life upon children.
