माँ जीवदानी मंदिर विरार में जीवदानी पहाड़ी पर स्थित है। यह पहाड़ पर स्थित विरार का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण स्थल है। यह देवी जीवदानी के अपने एकमात्र मंदिर के लिए पूरे देश में प्रसिद्ध है जो जमीन से लगभग १३७५ सीढ़ियाँ ऊपर स्थित है। शहर के पूर्वी हिस्से में एक पहाड़ी।

आगे बढ़ने पर एक चट्टान के टीले के पास चट्टान में काटे गए दो गाय के पैर (गो-पाद) हैं। जीवदानी देवी की पौराणिक कहानी इस प्रकार है: अपनी वन यात्रा के दौरान, पांडव शूर्पणखा आए। उन्होंने भगवान परशुराम द्वारा प्रतिष्ठित विमलेश्वर के पवित्र मंदिर का दौरा किया और प्रभास की यात्रा पर वैतरणी नदी के तट पर रुके।

Maa Jivdani Temple is located on Jivdani Hill in Virar. It is the most important place of Virar situated on the hill. It is famous all over the country for its only temple of Goddess Jivdani which is situated about 1375 steps above the ground on a hillock on the eastern side of the town.

On moving further there are two cow feet (Go-pad) cut in the rock near a rock mound. The mythological story of Jivdani Devi is as follows: During their forest journey, the Pandavas came to Shurpanakha. They visited the holy temple of Vimleshwar consecrated by Lord Parashurama and halted on the banks of the river Vaitarni on their journey to Prabhas.
