तिरुपति बालाजी मंदिर में दर्शन करने से आशीर्वाद और दिव्य कृपा प्राप्त करने का द्वार खुल जाता है। भक्तों का दृढ़ विश्वास है कि भगवान वेंकटेश्वर के दर्शन (दिव्य दृष्टि) करने और पूरी श्रद्धा के साथ प्रार्थना करने से उनके कल्याण के लिए शुभता और आशीर्वाद प्राप्त होता है।
यह मंदिर भगवान विष्णु के एक रूप भगवान वेंकटेश्वर को समर्पित है, जिनके बारे में माना जाता है कि वे मानव जाति को कलियुग की परीक्षाओं और परेशानियों से बचाने के लिए पृथ्वी पर प्रकट हुए थे। इसलिए इस स्थान का नाम कलियुग वैकुंठ भी पड़ा है और यहां के देवता को कलियुग प्रत्यक्ष दैवम कहा जाता है।
बाल दान करने के पीछे कारण यह है कि भगवान वेंकटेश्वर भगवान कुबेर से लिया गया अपना ऋण चुकाते हैं। ऐसा माना जाता है कि भगवान आपको तिरुपति बालाजी मंदिर में भक्तों द्वारा दान किए गए बाल से 10 गुना अधिक मूल्य देते हैं। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि जो कोई भी अपने बाल दान करता है, उस पर देवी लक्ष्मी की कृपा होती है।
प्रभु वेंकटेश्वर को उनकी चमकीली और शक्तिशाली नेत्रों के लिए जाना जाता है। ऐसा कहा जाता है कि भगवान वेंकटेश्वर की आंखों में ब्रह्मांडीय ऊर्जा होने की वजह से भक्त उनके नेत्रों में सीधा नहीं देख सकते हैं। इसलिए भगवान वेंकटेश्वर की आंखों को सफेद मुखौटे से ढक दिया जाता है।
तिरुमाला मंदिर में गुरुवार का दिन सदियों से बहुत खास रहा है । गुरुवार की सुबह तिरुप्पावड़ा सेवा की जाती है। इस सेवा में पुलिहोरा भगवान को चढ़ाया जाता है, इसे श्री स्वामी वरु की सीधी नज़र में मंडपम में उनके सामने फैलाया जाता है। यह चढ़ावा बहुत ही खास तरीके से चढ़ाया जाता है।

The reason behind donating hair is that Lord Venkateswara repays his debt taken from Lord Kubera. It is believed that the Lord gives you 10 times more value than the hair donated by devotees at Tirupati Balaji Temple. It is said that anyone who donates their hair is blessed by Goddess Lakshmi.
Lord Venkateswara is known for his bright and powerful eyes. It is said that devotees cannot look directly into the eyes of Lord Venkateswara due to the presence of cosmic energy in his eyes. Hence the eyes of Lord Venkateswara are covered with a white mask.
Thursdays have been a very special day in Tirumala temple for centuries. Tiruppavada Seva is performed on Thursday mornings. In this Seva Pulihora is offered to the Lord, it is spread in front of him in the Mandapam in direct view of Sri Swamy Varu. This offering is made in a very special way.
